Pepper is a wheeled social humanoid jointly developed by SoftBank and Aldebaran for reception, guidance, education and human interaction. It stands about 1.21 m tall and combines a three-wheel omnidirectional base, 20 degrees of freedom, a 10.1-inch touch display, multimodal speech/vision/touch sensing and the NAOqi development platform. Aldebaran now lists the original Pepper as permanently out of stock.
