Northstar is UMA's first humanoid robot design, unveiled at Machina Summit in July 2026 by the Paris-based Physical AI company. UMA positions the robot around human-scale proportions, a neutral visor rather than facial features, a soft technical outer shell with visible mechanical joints, and a Real-Time Learning architecture intended to let robots learn new skills from demonstrations instead of manual reprogramming. The company says the platform is aimed first at factories, warehouses, logistics centers, and other industrial facilities, with pilot programs planned for 2026; public pricing, production availability, battery, motion, and detailed hardware specifications have not been disclosed.
